First Time Homebuyers Assistance

The City of Pembroke Pines Planning and Economic Development Department is responsible for coordinating the City's housing programs available through state and federal funds administered by the city's Housing Consultant Community Redevelopment Associates of Florida, Inc. All applicants must agree to occupy the home as their primary residence; have not owned a home in the last three years; must have financial ability to secure a mortgage loan with a lending institution; and must not exceed a purchase price of $276,000. Assistance is in the form of a 15 year, 0% interest deferred second loan that reverts to a grant if all program conditions are met.  Attendance within the past 12 months at a Pembroke Pines approved pre-purchase homeownership counseling course.  Funding may vary on an annual basis.
