[ARCHIVED] New Utility Bill Format in December

UtilityBill_web

Throughout the summer, the City of Pembroke Pines shared exciting news that it teamed up with Tyler Technologies to launch a new and improved utility billing system.  Details are currently being finalized to ensure efficiency and effectiveness for our residents.  This new system will go live in just a few short weeks. To make this a smooth transition for all, the first bill residents receive will provide instructions on how to verify, and provide updated account information.  The City’s new billing system will allow for accounts to be easily accessed and managed, and enhance the customer experience. This change is the result of the City’s efforts to provide world-class services and in response to the community’s need for convenience, transparency, simplicity, and flexibility.

What Changes Will You Notice?    Look out for a new billing format that will replace the current postcard style bill.  You new bill will be mailed in a plain white double-window envelope with the City of Pembroke Pines information in the upper box.  Please pay attention to your daily mail beginning December and in the coming months for your new Utility Bill.

In December, if you are set up as the primary user on-line and receive an emailed bill, you will notice some new features which include: a new utility account number and customer number; a large color graph; more descriptive bill detail; and helpful messages.  If you receive a paper bill, please look for a sealed, plain, white, double window envelope containing a full page format along with a remit envelope. For additional information on the new utility system, please visit our website at: www.ppines.com/newutilitybill

Our online customer experience will also be updated with the introduction of the Citizen Self-Service (CSS) portal where customers can sign-up for easy and convenient access to their utility account information 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.  This portal will give customers the ability to review their monthly consumption, billing, financial history, pay utility bill(s) online, sign up for auto-pay, print bills, and much more.

Additionally, the City will soon be offering a new service called Tyler Notify.  Once you’ve signed up for this service, it will allow the Utility Department to send you important messages and notifications directly to your phone, text or email in real-time, for any utility-related issues that may affect you.

The City of Pembroke Pines will continue to provide residents with everything they’ll need to know for a trouble-free transition through available media/communication sources, including City Connect, the City’s website at www.ppines.com, utility bills, and social media accounts on Facebook at www.facebook.com/cityofpembrokepines, and on Instagram and Twitter @cityofppines.

 Updates Will Include

  • How to read your new utility bill,
  • Where to locate your new utility account number,
  • How to sign up for Citizen’s Self Service (CSS), and much more.

Please continue checking this website at  www.ppines.com/newutilitybill and look out for messages on your utility bills. TO VIEW A VIDEO, PLEASE CLICK HERE.
