Minor home repair funding is available. The City of Pembroke Pines Planning and Economic Development Department is responsible for coordinating the City's housing programs available through state and federal funds administered by the City's Housing Consultant Community Redevelopment Associates of Florida, Inc. (CRAFLA). Funds are provided on a first come, first qualified, first serve basis. The home owners must occupy the unit as their primary residence, must be current with their mortgage(s), property insurance, HOA dues and have no other government liens on the property to receive assistance. The home owner(s) household must qualify as a low to moderate income household pursuant to the HUD Guidelines. Assistance is in the form of a 15 year, 0% interest deferred second loan that reverts to a grant if all programs conditions are met. Funding may vary on an annual basis.
