The City of Pembroke Pines is actively seeking applications for the 23rd Annual Artfest in the Pines. The two-day art and cultural festival, being held November 6-7, 2021 at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, is searching for talented artists and crafts-people to join the ranks of longstanding participants. Interested parties are encouraged to apply via Zapp by searching ‘Artfest in the Pines’ or by visiting ‘www.ppines.com/artfest.’
Medium categories include Craft (new); Drawing; Jewelry; Mixed Media; Digital Art; Painting (watercolor, oil, acrylic); Fine Handcrafts; Photography; Wood; Glass; and Three-Dimensional Sculpture. In addition to the individual medium “Best In” categories, a “Best in Show” winner will also be selected. Participating artists have the opportunity to win upwards of $4,850 in cash prizes. As an added bonus, these winners are automatically invited to participate in next year’s festival with no jury required.
The deadline to apply is October 17, 2021. All interested parties are encouraged to apply at their earliest convenience. Additional application and event information can be accessed on the official Artfest webpage and the associated social media.
