March 25 -- Mayor Frank C. Ortis Addresses Residents
March 24 -- All parks operated by the City of Pembroke Pines are closed to public access effective Tuesday, March 24, until further notice. This includes walking paths, playgrounds and neighborhood parks that are not secured with fencing.
March 23 -- Utilities Customer Service Lobby
March 20 -- The Pembroke Lakes Golf Course and Club 19 Restaurant are closed due to precautionary measures regarding COVID-19.
Please be advised that in concurrence with the CDC and local and state government offices, the Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department is implementing prevention and social distancing practices to mitigate the infection in relation to the coronavirus (COVID-19). It is our responsibility to prioritize the health of Pembroke Pines residents, visitors and employees. To assist in containing the spread of COVID-19, below is a brief list of activities/programs affected:All organized activities and programs at City facilities – athletics, and art, music and drama classes SUSPENDED; Pembroke Pines and Miramar Relay for Life (April 4) POSTPONED; All activities and events after March 31, 2020 will be assessed on a weekly basis, and we will continue to update our website (www.ppines.com/coronavirus), and social media sites with new information as it becomes available. Effective Immediately (3/16/20) -- Passport acceptance services at the Charles F Dodge City Center location are suspended temporarily.
Effective March 18, 2020 -- The Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Point Community Center is closed to the public and will tentatively reopen on March 30th.
HHW Event Cancelled -- In light of social distancing guidelines regarding COVID-19, Waste Pro has cancelled its March 21, 2020 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Household Hazardous Waste Disposal event that was to be held at the Howard Forman Health Park located at 8300 South Palm Drive.
