[ARCHIVED] Pines Day 60th Birthday Celebration

PINES-DAY 2020 _web

We’re turning 60 and are ready to party.  Everyone is welcome to help the City of Pembroke Pines celebrate “Pines 60th Birthday Celebration” on Pines Day, Saturday, April 25, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way.  It will be a birthday party like no other, complete with decorations, party hats and balloons, rides, fun activities and lots of food. The event kicks off with an array of free activities, stage performances, bounce houses and hours of celebrating.  There will also be the Little Miss Sweetheart Pageant and the Miss Pembroke Pines Royal Court Pageant when young ladies will be crowned to be the newest city ambassadors.  The contests are open and free for Pembroke Pines residents ages 3-5; 6-8; 9-12; and 13-16.  Applications can be found online at www.pinesday.com/specialevents.

A Kids Konnection Expo will be on-hand, featuring kid-friendly businesses, activities and the opportunity to fill up party goody bags with fun and educational party favors. There will also be free rides for the kids, free face painting, free balloon art, free popcorn and free cotton candy. Delicious foods can be purchased at the Gourmet Food Truck Expo, and the Children’s Stage will make sure the music never stops with talented performers.  At approximately 6:30 p.m., everyone is urged to gather for the official cake ceremony, which will feature an over 10 foot Cupcake Tower. Be sure to stay for a very special performance from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. to conclude the birthday celebration, starring an outstanding guest artist.  For a schedule of planned activities, please visit www.pinesday.com/specialevents or contact the Special Events office at 954-392-2116.

Pines Day is sponsored by Memorial Health Care System, American Pediatric Dental Group, Naidu Orthodontics, Bright Star Credit Union, FPL and Fire Fighters Local 2292.
