[ARCHIVED] Art and Drama Summer Camps

The Summer Art Camp for children ages six to 11 years of age is held at two locations: The Fletcher Art and Cultural Center at 7960 Johnson Street, offers five sessions (four two-week sessions and one one-week session from June 11 through August 10, 2018; while the River of Grass ArtsPark at 17189 Sheridan Street offers four, two-week sessions from June 11 through August 3, 2018.  

The Summer Art Camp sessions are themed and include swimming, field trips, games, dress-up days, children's art show and fine art Instruction. Children participating in Art Camp will enjoy getting messy. Instructors recommend sending a shirt or smock with each camper to protect clothing.

The Summer Drama Camp for children ages eight to 11 years of age and teens ages 12-14 years is held at the River of Grass ArtsPark at 17189 Sheridan Street. Offered in two, four-week sessions, Summer Drama Camp includes: focusing on movement, creative storytelling, vocal techniques, improvisation, playwriting, staging and creating characters, swimming, field trips, games and much more.  It will be held June 11 through August 3, 2018.

It’s important to register early, as space is limited.  To register, please bring the parent/guardian driver's license and the child's original birth certificate, plus a photocopy of each document. Passports are not accepted.  Payment is by cash, check or money order only.  Fees:  Annual non-refundable fee is $25 per child.  Art Camp: $260 per two- week session. Drama Camp: $520 per four-week session.  Sibling discounts are available.
