“Tee off” for education at the 17th Annual Pembroke Pines Charter School Golf Tournament on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Pembroke Lakes Country Club, located at 10500 Taft Street, from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mayor Frank C. Ortis and Waste Pro proudly present this Annual Pembroke Pines Charter School Golf Tournament which benefits the Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation.
Over the past 16 years, this event has raised over one million dollars thanks to the generosity of sponsors and golfers. It includes an 18- hole tournament, a putting contest, lunch, refreshments on ‘The Green,’ a cocktail reception with open bar, deluxe buffet dinner, prizes, a live auction and awards. Each player in the tournament also receives a $50 gift certificate from the Pro Shop.
The largest municipally run charter school system in the country, the Pembroke Pines Charter School System, with just over 6,000 students, is recognized for its innovation and academic excellence. All proceeds from the Pembroke Pines Charter School Golf Tournament directly enhance each student’s educational experience.
The Tournament begins at 10:30 a.m. with registration, a putting contest, a delicious lunch and then a shot-gun tee off at 12:30 p.m. The Driving Range and Practice tee will also be open. A cocktail reception with open bar begins at 5:30 p.m. with a deluxe buffet, prize presentations and a live auction.
