Automatic Funds Transfer
Automatic Funds Transfer (AFT) allows customers to have their monthly City of Pembroke Pines utility bill payments automatically withdrawn from their bank account. You set up your AFT account once and you do not have to worry about paying your utility bill on time anymore.

Our goal at the City of Pembroke Pines is to make our AFT program as simple to sign up and maintain as possible.

Options

To help you take advantage of our AFT program, we offer the following online options:
  • Print an application, complete it, and mail it  to The City of Pembroke Pines
Note: The application can be filled out online, and then printed for mailing
  • Change your bank account information
  • Discontinue the program

Though this online information is provided for your convenience, online registration is not possible due to the need for your original signature, and a voided check.

Benefits
The benefits of using AFT are that you:
  • Don't have to worry about late or missed payments if you're busy or away from home
  • Save time and postage costs
  • Eliminate the need to write checks
  • Simplify your bill payment

Cost
The City of Pembroke Pines does not charge for paying utility bills using AFT.

How it Works
Once the City receives your completed application, it will take about 30 to 60 days to process your application. You will be advised when your account is on AFT with a message on your bill confirming your participation.

Monthly Bills & Insufficient Funds
When you receive your monthly utility bill, it will state:
  • This bill will be paid by Automatic Fund Transfer (AFT)
  • Please do not remit payment

If your account has insufficient funds on the withdrawal date, your bank will return the automatic payment. Just like having a check returned for insufficient funds, both your bank and the City may charge you a service fee.

Bank Accounts
The type of bank accounts that can participate in this program are all checking and savings accounts drawn from U.S. financial institutions.

Billing Questions

For questions about your bill, call the phone number on your bill, 954-450-6900. The City of Pembroke Pines
will review the bill with you.
