Special Populations
This program is responsible for the development and implementation of recreational programs and activities for special populations, including people with disabilities. Summer, winter, and spring break camps, field trips, socials, participation in Special Olympics, the county-wide Challenger Baseball, and the Miracle League Programs are among the leisure activities scheduled.


Spring Camp for ages 12-17 (Minimum of 10 children) for children with special needs, varying disabilities.. Week long program with games, sports, crafts, and more!  Camp Dates are March 23-27, 2015. Times 9:00AM - 5:00PM. Camp will be held at Towngate Recreation Center, 901 NW 155 Ave.  Please see our flyer for more information.

The Special Population Program Summer Camp 2015 will be held at the City of Pembroke Pines Charter School, Central Campus at 12350 Sheridan Street
June 8, 2015 - August 7, 2015. Camp Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Summer Camp is for children and adults ages 6-22 with special needs and varying disabilities.
Daily activities will include recreational games, sports, arts and crafts, educational classes, swimming and much more! Participants must be independent in toileting and be able to administer their own medications with supervision.  Please see our flyer for more information.
