    Each May, the nation celebrates Older Americans Month to recognize older Americans for their contributions and provide an opportunity to celebrate what getting older looks like today. The 2018 OAM theme, ENGAGE AT EVERY AGE, emphasizes that you are never too old (or young) to take part in activities that can enrich your physical, mental and emotional well-being! A listing of all activities and events for Older American’s Month will be available in May at the Activities Desk.

  2. “KENTUCKY DERBY” Dinner Dance with Live Entertainment

  3. VOLUNTEERS' TRIP TO THE VA NURSING HOME

    The last Tuesday of each month, our dedicated group of SWFP volunteers travel to the Nininger State Veterans Nursing Home to socialize with clients, play games and provide activities. Join us in visiting these forgotten heroes that live in our city and listen to their stories; you'd be amazed of what they've gone through and experienced. Trips are provided by the Center will depart SWFP at 10:15 am and return at 12:15 pm.

  3. Memorial Day Ceremony - Location Changed

    EVENT LOCATION CHANGED - The City of Pembroke Pines will be relocating the Memorial Day Ceremony scheduled for Monday, May 28, 2018. The ceremony was originally scheduled to be at Fletcher Memorial Park, 7900 Johnson Street at 9:00am. Due to inclement weather being forecasted for our area, we have relocated the event indoors to the Charles F. Dodge City Center LOBBY located at 601 City Center Way, Pembroke Pines, FL 33025. The event time has been changed to 9:30am. The ceremony will include our Police and Fire Honor Guard, Guest Speakers and a Wreath Placing for all those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. The City of Pembroke Pines and Vitas Healthcare invites you to join us for a light breakfast prior to the event.
