Arts for Community Engagement
The Program
The City of Pembroke Pines is dedicated to using the arts as a tool to foster social engagement. Curated exhibitions and events invite culturally diverse audiences to view, and/or participate in a multi-disciplinary variety of cultural arts programming. Pembroke Pines is the recipient of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Public Leadership in the Arts Award, a National Endowment for the Arts “Our Town” Grant, and a Harvard Kennedy School ASH CENTER “Bright Idea” distinction for Innovation in American Government for recognition in making the arts approachable and affordable to the community.
