Arts for Community Engagement
The ProgramWho's Fooling Who
Pembroke Pines is a city dedicated to using the arts as a tool for social engagement. Curated exhibitions and events invite our culturally diverse community to view, and/or participate in a wide variety of cultural arts programming. The City recently received the U.S. Conference of Mayors Public Leadership in the Arts Award for its commitment to making the arts approachable and affordable.

Exhibitions
Curator of Special Projects Jill Slaughter, recently named Best Curator in Broward – Palm Beach by the New Times exhibits the work of contemporary established and emerging artists. Jill’s exhibitions also showcase non-artist groups and organizations in an effort to encourage unity by merging fine arts with the community at large. Jill views both the art enthusiast and novice as an integral part of fortifying Pembroke Pines’ commitment to arts and culture. Exhibitions can be seen at Studio 18 and citywide.
