Highlights:
Mayor Frank C. Ortis, Commissioner Jay Schwartz and Landscape Advisory Board Chairperson Gloria McCluskey presented plaques to the winners of the Natalie Belmonte Great Yards Award: At Large - Lisa Sigelbaum & Vicki Mills; District 2 - Jan Scarth; District 3 - Doris Wilk/Deborah Hasson; and District 4 - Kristi Davis. Certificates of Appreciation were given to Annette & David Tringo; Frank & Janet DelMastro; Deborah Shullo; and Ruth Gomes for their participation. The annual award was created in memory of Natalie Belmonte, a longtime resident and businesswoman known for her love of nature, who tragically lost her life in 2011. The yards were judged by the LAB on five components

 

Mayor Ortis honored Steve Pressman, owner of Pill Box Pharmacies and City resident for 31 years, with the Key to the City for his outstanding service to the community.  more...
