The Pembroke Pines Veterans Memorial Foundation in partnership with the City of Pembroke Pines feels that it is important to honor our military and remind everyone of the history of our great country. In that spirit, we have constructed a Veteran’s Memorial as part of City Center at 10300 Pines Boulevard.
The Veterans Memorial is anchored by a fifteen foot black granite obelisk which bears the seals of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines. Commemorative bricks dedicated to veterans make up the walkway to the memorial and encircle it. The bricks feature the name of a veteran, living or deceased, the branch of the armed forces they served in, and other memorial comments thanking our veterans for their service. We would like to encourage members of the community to honor family members and/or friends who are veterans by purchasing a commemorative brick. Please see our brick order form for more information.
The Pembroke Pines Veterans Memorial Foundation is comprised of the following members:
Chuck Vones, Jr., President
Pastor Peter Tokar, who retired as a Lieutenant Commander after serving ten years in the United States Navy.
Lou Manfra, who served 25 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, twenty as a Naval Aviator pilot.
Please contact the Recreation & Cultural Arts Department at 954-392-2127 for more information on purchasing a brick.
